Funded childcare refers to the government initiative of providing a certain number of hours of funded childcare every year to children of working parents. Eligible working families will be able to claim 30 hours of childcare from the term after their child turns 9 months old until they reach school age.All 3 and 4 year olds who live in England are entitled to 15 hours of childcare per week, over 38 weeks of the year, irrespective of income levels, benefit status or family circumstances.
Government funding is intended to pay for 15 or 30 hours per week (term time only) childcare. We stretch the funded hours over 51 weeks. Terms and conditions along with more information are available upon request. Government funding does not cover meals, nappies, wipes, suncreams, activities and additional hours. The Honey Pot has always and will continue to provide breakfast, two course lunch, tea, fresh fruit, nutritious snacks and cow's milk without any additional charge to parents.
Autumn Term 1 September – 31 December (funded 14 weeks)
Spring Term 1 January – 31 March (funded 11 weeks)
Summer Term 1 April – 31 August (funded 13 weeks)
