The Honey Pot Day Nursery was opened by Fiona Walker in November 1999.
We are the longest established early years setting under the same ownership in the area and are proud to be constantly reflecting on our practice; enabling us to be the very best that we can. Our home from home environment, along with a love in exploring our community, gives our children the very best opportunities for their most informative years.
Our Nursery is staffed by highly qualified , passionate early year's professionals, who go out of their way to make a difference to the babies and children in their care. The Honey Pot is staffed by highly qualified, passionate early years professionals who go out of their way to make a difference to the children in their care. All staff members are on the online DBS update service and are fully qualified in paediatric first aid.Our staff strive to develop their knowledge further and go out of their way to make a difference and staff continuous professional development are of key importance to The Honey Pot Private Day Nursery and Preschool.Fiona is supported by two Assistant Managers: Charlotte Shaw (BA Joint Honours in Early Years Psychology and Education), who joined us in April 2015 and Paige Gilbody (BA Honours in Education Studies), who joined us in May 2018.
All of the food is freshly prepared at The Honey Pot Nursery by our very own cook. Our menu reflects our use of seasonal produce where possible. Our children love to help with meal preparation including laying tables, cooking, chopping and growing vegetables in our garden.
